Asterisk SIP config for Voice Logic SIP trunking
Before proceeding with configuring your Asterisk PBX for Voice Logic SIP trunking, you must first setup an account – if you have not yet done this, please get in touch with a Voice Logic sales representative who will take you through the process of setting up an account.
To setup an outbound trunk, please edit the sip.conf file (usually located in /etc/asterisk/sip.conf ) and use the following settings:
[VLTrunkID] – This is a descriptive name of the trunk
host=sipXXX.voicelogic.net.au – this is the sip proxy address supplied by Voice Logic
username=VLTrunkID – use the username provided by Voice Logic
secret=LQJOKhgM.. – use the password / secret provided by Voice Logic
Processing Inbound calls
Voice Logic supports both registration based inbound routing and routed inbound routing – please speak to your Voice Logic account representative so determine which will be the best suited to your application.
Registration based routing
To enable registration based inbound routing, please enter the following in your sip.conf file for each inbound number provided by Voice Logic:
register => 61282341234:LQJOKhgM@sipXXX@voicelogic.net.au/61282341234 – substitute the phone number and secret provided by Voice Logic.
